When Does The Company Collect My Information, Including Personally Identifiable Information?

Registration

When you register for an account with Kicksend (your “Kicksend Account”), the Company asks for your e-mail address, your full name, your phone number, and other information (collectively, your “Account Information”). Once you are a registered user, you can update your profile and may be able to provide additional preferential information (e.g. profile photo).

Receiving Kicksend Files

You can receive files that were sent to you through Kicksend without having a Kicksend Account. You also can contact us by e-mailing us directly without having to register for an account.

Your Kicksend Account

For some activities on Kicksend, like sending a file, you need a Kicksend Account. We ask for certain personal information when you create an account including your Account Information and a password, which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.

Photo Orders

In addition, if you submit Photo Orders, we will also ask for your mailing address, the recipients’ shipping address (“Shipping Address”), and your credit card and billing information (collectively, the “Photo Order Information”). We store your Account Information, an encrypted version of your password, and your Photo Order Information.

Usage Information

When you use Kicksend, we may record information about your usage of the site, such as the name, size, and type of the files you send, the date you send a file, the recipients of the files you send, which other users you add to your friends list or who add you to theirs, your frequency of usage, elements you click on in Kicksend (including UI elements and settings), and information you display about yourself. If you are logged in, we may associate that information with your Kicksend Account. In order to provide our file history functionality, we may keep a history of all files sent for the relevant period of time. In the event you delete your Kicksend account, all account information, including file history, is deleted.

Content You Disclose on the Site

Any personal information or comments that you voluntarily disclose online (e.g., messages you include when sending a file publicly, your profile page) may be collected and used by others.

Third-Party Account Information

You may choose to link your Kicksend Account with your accounts on certain third-party services, including Twitter and Facebook. If you authorize us to connect your Kicksend Account with your third-party service account, then, in order for the Service to function, we store some of the information the third-party service provides.
